So eating healthy and working out are vital to me reaching my health/weight goals, but it can be hard! I work from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday so I totally understand if you think you’re busy too! I have a couple tips for eating healthy and working out for everyone else that is tight on time!
My crockpot is my lifesaver! My husband and I purchase boneless/skinless chicken breasts and portion the breasts out into 3 freezer bags. I marinate each one with a different flavor such as BBQ, Teriyaki, or Salsa! I store these meals in the freezer and pull them out as needed on my lunch break! I cook the chicken on low in my crock pot and then we have a hot and healthy protein to eat for dinner!
So I save time cooking each day and preparing healthy meals, but I also save time at the gym!
Yeah that’s me at the gym today! Thanks to Nathan for taking the picture for me! Our motto for going to the gym is “get in and get out.” We have a plan for what exercises we’re going to do and we don’t waste any time! Since I’m gone all day at work, I don’t want to go spend hours at the gym after when I’m already hungry and tired from the day! Nathan came up with a great idea: we lift 5 days per week after work and focus on one muscle group per session. This means that we only do 3 or 4 lifts per day! It’s super fast (about 30 minutes) and gives us time to do our cardio (tempo runs) out on the football field before heading home.
I hope this is encouraging to you all who have busy schedules like me!
I’ve got to go and log on for my It Works training!
